As election day approaches, I would appreciate knowing what concerns you have or you hear for Stratford. Post your concerns and/or questions. I will share my thoughts and ask you to join in the conversations as they unfold.
When Jeff Heuchert commented that my first term has been characterized by a desire for accountability, it made me reflect. While some hear accountability and picture someone searching for someone missing the mark in their capacity, I see transparency as an invitation for those who care about Stratford to share their ideas and expertise in the decision-making and visioning processes for Stratford. In the words of Helen Keller, "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
I invite you to join me in thinking about Stratford. Identifying our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Stretching our perspectives by entertaining divergent views while sharing our own even as they may be evolving.
To my fellow candidates, you are welcome and encouraged to share your thoughts as well. My hope is that we will capitalize on the campaign period and its ability to foster ideas that will shape Council's deliberations in the next year and term.
